Help with downloading and installing SARTrack
The SARTrack programs do not contain any virus. Some browsers, Windows and anti-virus programs are careful with programs that few people download, and may stop them. This page shows how to let SARTrack through.
The installers are signed
Every SARTrack installer is signed with a verified code signing certificate, so Windows can check that it comes unchanged from us. Windows shows the publisher in its question when you start the installer.
To check a downloaded file yourself: right-click it, choose Properties, and open the Digital Signatures tab.
Firefox
Firefox may stop the download with a warning such as “This file is not commonly downloaded”, and not save the file.
- Open the Downloads list: the arrow at the top right, or Ctrl + Shift + Y.
- Right-click the stopped SARTrack download.
- Choose Allow download.
Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome
They may also stop the download at first.
- Open the Downloads list: Ctrl + J.
- At the SARTrack download, choose Keep (in Edge: the … menu, then Keep, then Show more and Keep anyway).
Windows: “Windows protected your PC”
Windows SmartScreen may show this for a new SARTrack version that few people have downloaded yet.
- Click More info.
- Check that the publisher is shown, then click Run anyway.
Anti-virus programs
If another anti-virus program complains, please follow its own documentation on how to allow the SARTrack program(s).
